We are highly skilled in working with the news media — a strength tied directly to Kyle’s 17 years as a business reporter and editor, and to long-standing relationships with reporters, producers and editors.

  • Story development and angles
  • Pitching local, regional and national outlets
  • News releases and media advisories
  • Interview set-up and follow-through

Media & presentation training

Walk into any interview ready.

We get your leaders ready to talk to the news media — or to any external audience. Kyle has sat on both sides of the interview, including crisis situations, so the practice questions are the real ones.

  • Interview preparation and rehearsal
  • Message development
  • On-camera and phone interviews
  • Presentation coaching for any audience
Good fit when: a leader is about to face reporters, a panel, a town hall or a tough board meeting.

Content creation

Words that show what you know.

We write and edit powerful content that showcases your expertise to key audiences — written with a reporter’s ear for what people actually read.

  • Contributed articles and op-eds
  • Blog posts and newsletters
  • Scripts, including documentary film
  • Website and campaign copy

Questions

Good to know.

Something else on your mind? Ask Kyle directly.

Who will I actually work with?

Kyle Parks. Parks PR is a solo practice by design, so the person you meet is the person who does the work — strategy, writing, pitching and training.

Where do you work?

Parks PR is rooted in Asheville, N.C. and Florida’s Gulf Coast, and proudly serves businesses and nonprofits anywhere in the USA.

Is public relations just media relations?

Not anymore. As the news media has shrunk, it’s more important than ever to keep working with reporters — and to use every other channel you have, from your website and newsletters to reviews and community involvement.

Can you help our in-house team?

Yes. Communications consulting includes helping your team prioritize its PR efforts and training communicators of all experience levels.

How do we get started?

With a conversation. Get in touch, tell Kyle a little about your organization and what you’d like people to know, and he’ll take it from there.

Start the conversation

Not sure which you need?

Most engagements mix a few of these. Tell Kyle what you’re trying to achieve and he’ll help you figure out the right combination.
