The Builders Association of the Blue Ridge Mountains has won a national award from the National Association of Home Builders for its work with Parks PR after 2024’s Hurricane Helene.
Parks PR worked with BABRM to drive an awareness campaign designed to help residents avoid contractor ripoffs. The initiative, honored as Best Public Relations Program, included everything from writing contributed content and blog posts to shooting videos and generating news media coverage.
The public relations award was one of five won by BABRM, as its work ranged from organizing relief efforts after the storm to providing help to its members and delivering key information related to rebuilding. The group continues to focus on recovery – Asheville’s comeback has been difficult – and Parks PR is proud to be part of its impactful work.
